In the event that the transfer abroad has already been declared to the Municipality, it is necessary to submit to the Consular Office within 90 days of arrival in the foreign country, the "declaration of abandonment of residence" issued by the competent Municipality and bearing the date of registration to AIRE.

Citizens residing abroad already registered in AIRE who change their residence must make a declaration within 90 days to the territorially competent Consulate. For more details vistit the Change/update address and Repatriation section.
