Schengen Visas

Schengen Visas

A Schengen visa, also called “C” visa, is a short stay visa (up to 90 days in a period of 180 days) valid for the 26 States that are members of the Schengen agreement : Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Leichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland

From May 15, 2014 all Schengen visa applicants are required to have their fingerprints taken.

Schengen visas are issued by the Embassy/Consulate of the Schengen country that will be the main destination of the trip and where the applicant will spend the most days.  Should the time spent in different Schengen countries be of the same length, the visa will be issued by the Embassy/Consulate of the country of first entry. Should the applicant be visiting another country for which she/he will need a visa before entering the Schengen territory, a valid visa for that country is requested when submitting the application.

Schengen Visas
are issued for a maximum of 90 days (1 to 90) in a period of 180 days and allow applicants to travel  throughout the Schengen countries, on a single entry visa, for tourism, business, study, sport events or invitation purposes.

Once issued with a Schengen visa, all travelers must declare their presence by ensuring that their passports are duly stamped by the Border Authorities upon entry into the Schengen territory.

Important notice for Schengen Visa applicants: no visa can be affixed on passports older than 10 years (e.g. in 2023 we cannot accept passports issued before 2013).
