On the occasion of the Week of the Italian Language in the World 2024 and the celebration of the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s death, the Italian Consulate in Detroit, Education Office of Chicago and Detroit, presents the Webinar “The Adventures of Marco Polo in a Podcast”, for teachers of the Italian programs of the schools and universities of the two consular districts, in collaboration with the NOI Foundation (see Flyer).
The webinar was held on November 18, 2024 from 5:30-7:00PM ET (4:30-6:00PM CT), via Zoom, and offered history-inspired linguistic and cultural activities of the great explorer.
The objective of the workshop is to present an engaging teaching tool for intermediate and advanced level Italian classes, also adaptable for classes of different levels, for activities that cover all language skills. Professor Pennasilico will show the contents of the Podcast and give suggestions on the effective use of interactive activities in the classroom. At the end of the presentation, a copy of all the podcast activities will be released.
