The Italian Trade Agency of Chicago is seeking to fill the position of Junior Accountant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Job description<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Keep track of employee sick days, personal hours and vacation requests.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Monitor budgets for multiple promotional activities, which includes updating with estimated costs and final payments to various providers<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Enter data and upload documents into various databases.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Enter all monthly expenses in Oracle using specific instructions from headquarters in Rome.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Conclude promotional initiatives via software provided by headquarters.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Assist accountant with end of month closing.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Assist in monitoring and invoicing services provided to Italian companies and send relative information to headquarters in Rome.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Make photocopies of all monthly payments and send all originals via courier to headquarters in Rome.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Assist accounting department, and other colleagues, with various administrative tasks.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Bachelor\u2019s degree and a minimum of two years\u2019 experience in accounting<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Orientation to detail, excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Skillful use of applications: MS office, particularly Word and Excel, internet, email and Oracle.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Advanced knowledge of Italian (oral and written)<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Professional appearance and demeanor<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Respect of deadlines<\/p>\n

Salary and Compensation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Compensation will be based on applicant\u2019s experience and will range from $3,000 to $3,200.00 gross of taxes and any other dues. Position is full time. Health insurance will be provided after a three month trial period.<\/p>\n

Employment Status<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US, i.e. be a US citizen or have a green card. The Italian Trade Agency will not sponsor any employees.<\/p>\n
