The Italian Trade Agency of Chicago is seeking to fill a temporary Assistant Marketing Specialist position.<\/p>\n
Job description<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00b7 Assist with planning, budgeting and implementation of trade shows and trade delegations which may include travel (on special occasions)<\/p>\n \u00b7 Assist with the development of advertising campaigns<\/p>\n \u00b7 Carry out market research, competitors and client surveys on behalf of Italian food producers (brand products and private label)<\/p>\n \u00b7 Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant information on major supermarket chains news and activities<\/p>\n \u00b7 Assist in contacting external counterparts including service providers and responding to their inquiries<\/p>\n \u00b7 Provide administrative assistance to Senior Marketing Specialist in daily activities.<\/p>\n \u00b7 Manage database registry of Italian food and non-food producers for GDO purposes.<\/p>\n Qualifications and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00b7 Bachelor\u2019s degree and a minimum of four years\u2019 experience or master\u2019s degree in marketing and business development<\/p>\n \u00b7 Orientation to detail and client service, resourcefulness and enthusiastic<\/p>\n \u00b7 Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills<\/p>\n \u00b7 Skillful use of applications: MS office, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint, internet, email and database software<\/p>\n \u00b7 Knowledge of and experience in utilizing Social Media applications<\/p>\n \u00b7 Professional appearance and demeanor<\/p>\n \u00b7 Intermediate and\/or advanced knowledge of Italian preferred.<\/p>\n Salary and Compensation<\/strong><\/p>\n Compensation will be based on applicant experience and will range from $3,200.00 to $4,000.00.
