{"id":952,"date":"2023-08-08T12:48:41","date_gmt":"2023-08-08T17:48:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conschicago.esteri.it\/?page_id=952"},"modified":"2023-08-08T15:48:07","modified_gmt":"2023-08-08T20:48:07","slug":"schengen-visas","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conschicago.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/visti\/schengen-visas\/","title":{"rendered":"Schengen Visas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Schengen Visas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A <strong>Schengen visa<\/strong>, also called &#8220;C&#8221; visa, is a short stay visa (up to 90 days in a period of 180 days) valid for the 26 States that are members of the Schengen agreement : Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Leichtenstein,\u00a0Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland<\/p>\n<p><strong>From May 15, 2014 <\/strong>all Schengen visa applicants\u00a0are required to have\u00a0their fingerprints taken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schengen visas<\/strong>\u00a0are issued by the Embassy\/Consulate of the Schengen country that will be the main destination of the trip and\u00a0where the applicant will spend the most days.\u00a0 Should the time spent in different Schengen countries be of the same length, the visa will be issued by the Embassy\/Consulate of the country of first entry.
