\nItalian citizens registered with AIRE in Chicago who change their address within this consular jurisdiction:<\/p>\n

ONLY IN CASE OF ACTUAL DIFFICULTY IN THE USE OF THE FASTIT SYSTEM, it is possible to proceed as follows, considering that the processing time of the file may be longer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Send the update\u00a0form<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>to\u00a0this email address anagrafe.chicago@esteri.it<\/a>, together with\u00a0a copy of\u00a0a Document of Identity (passport or driver’s license) and proof of address (utilities bills).<\/p>\n

Transfer\u00a0to another consular jurisdiction<\/em><\/span>
\nItalian citizens registered with AIRE in Chicago who transfer\u00a0to another consular jurisdiction, must register\u00a0with the AIRE office of the destination\u00a0competent Consulate. The new Consulate will then notify this Consulate and the Italian Comune\u00a0of the transfer.<\/p>\n

Arrival in Chicago from another consular jurisdiction<\/em><\/span>
\nItalian citizens registered with AIRE who arrive from another jurisdiction\u00a0in one of the 11 States included in the Chicago consular jurisdiction, must\u00a0submit a\u00a0new registration <\/a><\/strong>to this Consulate.\u00a0This\u00a0AIRE office\u00a0will then notify both the Italian Comune and the previous\u00a0Consulate\u00a0of the transfer.<\/p>\n

Repatriation\u00a0in Italy (AIRE cancellation)<\/span><\/em>
\nItalian citizens registered with AIRE in Chicago who \u00a0who intend to resume their residence in Italy must send the update form<\/a><\/strong>, check Repatriation, to the address anagrafe.chicago@esteri.it<\/a>, attaching a copy of the identity document.<\/p>\n

Please note that the finalization of AIRE cancellation is communicated by the municipality of AIRE registration to this consulate and not vice-versa. Therefore, it is necessary for the citizen to make contact with the Italian municipality where he or she intends to establish his or her residence for verification and confirmation of repatriation and, in the case of repatriation to a municipality different from that of AIRE registration, informing of his or her position as a resident abroad.<\/p>\n
