The new offices overlook <strong>Millennium Park<\/strong> and are within walking distance of the iconic <strong>Cloud Gate (&#8220;The Bean&#8221;)<\/strong>, the <strong>Chicago Cultural Center<\/strong>, the <strong>Art Institute of Chicago<\/strong>, and the shores of <strong>Lake Michigan<\/strong>, offering visitors a central location that is easily accessible by both public transportation and major roadways.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Consulate General is headed by a career Consul General and has jurisdiction over the following states: <strong>Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming<\/strong>. According to the Consulate General&#8217;s estimates, more than <strong>22,000 Italian citizens<\/strong> reside in the State of Illinois alone, while over <strong>30,000<\/strong> live throughout the entire consular district. Furthermore, according to the latest U.S. Census data, approximately <strong>735,000 Americans of Italian descent<\/strong> live in Illinois, and more than <strong>1,435,000<\/strong> reside within the Consulate&#8217;s jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The consular district covers an extensive territory with a population exceeding <strong>65 million people<\/strong>. The farthest communities are located thousands of miles from the Consulate&#8217;s headquarters in Chicago.
