BY FEBRUARY 18TH: OPTION FOR VOTING FOR VOTERS TEMPORARILY LIVING ABROAD
Voters residing in Italy, living abroad for at least 3 months for working, studying or medical reasons – and relatives living with them – can vote abroad, according to art. 4-bis, par. 1, Law Dec 27th 2001, n. 459.
For receiving the voting package to the temporary US address, voters must directly contact their Italian townhall, by February 18th.

EXPIRED – OPTION FOR VOTING IN ITALY FOR VOTERS ENROLLED IN “AIRE”
Voters residing abroad and registered with AIRE may exercise the option to vote in Italy no later than 24 January 2026 (Article 4 of Law 459/01).
Communications received after this deadline cannot be considered: the date of receipt of the documentation by the Office will be considered valid.

It is essential for Italians residing abroad and registered with AIRE to make sure their address is duly updated, also in order to be able to receive the electoral package at home.
