Jeffrey Schnapp (Harvard University), Greg Lynn (Moto Guzzi factory and museum designer), Miguel Galluzzi (Head of Piaggio Advanced Design Center) and Marco D’Acunzo (Chief Marketing Officer Piaggio Group Americas) introduce Moto Guzzi 100 Years, the inspiring book, curated by Jeffrey Schnapp, where a writer, an actor, three journalists, a DJ, a designer, an astronaut and a cultural historian recount their passion for the Mandello Eagle, while their tales are interspersed with the exploration of the past, the present, and the future of the company through images of vehicles, places and above all stories of individuals, famous and ordinary who have made the history of the brand.

jeffrey schnappAfter a decade of road racing in the West Coast Championship, Jeffrey Schnapp, cemented his identity as dedicated Guzzista in 2015 when, with Greg Lynn and the leadership of the Piaggio Group, he founded the Boston-based robotics company Piaggio Fast Forward. As the founder and faculty director of metaLAB at Harvard University, he teaches cultural history, design, and media studies and is the author of a large corpus of books and essays including, most recently, FuturPiaggio: Six Italian Lessons on Mobility and Modern Life (2017).

greg lynn Greg Lynn grew up outside of Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent most of his time on a farm on a lake, riding slow vehicles as fast as he could; from tractors, to motocross bikes, to dinghies, keelboats and powerboats. This doesn’t compare to designing a Moto Guzzi factory and museum on Lake Como. In addition to buildings, he also designs industrial products for Alessi, Vitra, Swarovski, Nike and for Piaggio fast Forward: robots. When in Boston he lives 100 meters from the robot assembly factory, when in Los Angeles he sailshis foiling trimaran and rides his Moto Guzzi Audace along the coast.
