We have the pleasure of announcing, on behalf of The Observatory of the Italian Language in Chicago (OLIC) and under the auspices of the Italian Consulate General of Italy in Chicago, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Chicago, the institution of the first Midwest Award for Leadership in the Teaching of the Italian Language and Culture. The award aims at recognizing and encouraging the involvement of teachers in Italian language promotion programs, and/or innovating teaching methodologies, and/or interacting with local communities and organizations.
If you teach Italian or are involved in Italian programs initiatives, if you know a dynamic and resourceful teacher of Italian deserving to take part in the contest, please take the time to read the attached announcement and nominate your Italian Teacher by September 30th, 2016.
